Brushing Instructions
Brushing
*Brush thoroughly twice a day.
*Use a soft toothbrush
*Hold the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle where the gumline meets the teeth.
*Gently brush in small circles for several seconds.
*Move on to the next group of teeth and repeat.
*Don’t forget the inside surfaces next to the tongue.
*Brush your tongue to remove bacteria that cause bad breath.
Flossing
Daily flossing is recommended by the American Dental Association, to clean between the teeth and under the gumline.
*Take about 18 inches of floss and wrap it around the middle finger of each hand.
*Make sure the floss is pulled tightly between your fingers.
*Using your thumbs and forefingers, gently slide the floss between two teeth.
*Curving it around each tooth in a C shape, moving the floss up and down against each tooth as high and as low as it will comfortably go under the gumline.
* Advance to a clean section of the floss and move on to the next tooth.
*Repeat the step above for each tooth.
I also recommend rinsing your mouth once a day with an over-the-counter oral rinse.
