Your child has chompers just like you do, which means you need to clean their teeth on a regular basis so they can have a clean and pristine smile in Murray, Utah. So, to properly clean your child’s smile, please do the following things:

Step 1: Use a child’s toothbrush and low-fluoride toothpaste. Usually, the brush has smaller bristles and a specially formed handle. As far as the toothpaste goes, only use toothpaste for children. It’s also recommended to use a paste that has a flavor your child enjoys.

Step 2: Make sure your child is comfortable and try to make brushing a fun experience. First, put a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on the brush’s bristles. Then, place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. Next, scrub the front of the teeth with small, gentle circles. Once you are done, brush the insides of the teeth using the same motions. Finally, scrub the biting surfaces by moving the brush back and forth.

Step 3: When you are done cleaning your child’s smile, have them spit the toothpaste into the sink and rinse with water. Then, reward them for doing such a great job.

Now that you have your child’s smile handled, it’s time to take care of yours. In order to have a top-notch smile and oral health, you need to brush twice a day and floss and rinse once a day. It’s also vital to visit your dentist, Dr. David Powell, every six months for a routine cleaning and checkup.
